Better Know the Girl, Things to Consider | Mark Berry

It's one thing to talk to girls, but how about getting to know them? Are you really getting to know them? That requires a lot more effort. You can learn to have better conversations and be more comfortable in them in order to strengthen your bond with the girls you chat with and get to know them better.

1)      Speaking with Girls

First, have a lot of short discussions. Initially, aim for many short discussions rather than one long one. If you want to be flirtatious and entice a female to get to know you, try to talk to her on a frequent basis. At school, talk in the hallway during passing time. After exchanging a few quick sentences, say, "Talk to you later."

Always state that you will speak again shortly. This will assure that you are thinking about her and that you are both thinking about each other. Say "hey" to her. Hopefully, she responds, and you can say one of the following or make up your own: "What's your name?" or "How's your day so far?"

2)      Make Direct Eye Contact

Eye contact is crucial in starting a productive conversation. If you want to get to know a girl better, make better eye contact while you and she are speaking. If you find it difficult to maintain eye contact or if it makes you feel embarrassed, practice. When watching TV, try to retain the gaze of the TV actors for as long as possible, or pick a location on the face near the eyes, such as the nose, the brow, or another spot to hold your look.

3)      Smiling Will Put Her at Ease

Put someone at ease by smiling if you want them to open up to you. Even if you're nervous, serious, or have significant feelings for this girl, you need to smile and relax yourself and her by flashing those pearly whites. Make a flirtatious talking expression. Even if you don't want to get to know this girl further romantically, it's important to demonstrate that you enjoy talking to her and being in her company. A smile goes a long way toward doing this.

4)      Pay Attention When She Speaks

Being a good listener is one of the finest methods to get a girl to open up more to you. Concentrate on being a good listener. Find out an interest in what she has to say. Avoid dominating the conversation. Instead of telling a story, ask a question. Maintain eye contact with her and nod your head to demonstrate that you are paying attention. After she has finished, explain what she has said and use her name while speaking. This helps to demonstrate that you are paying her special attention.

5)      Take Note of Her Body Language

It's critical to avoid bothering people by approaching them and asking inquiries. Learn to interpret a girl's body language to ensure that your presence is acceptable. If she isn't interested in conversing, she will exhibit some of the following body language, indicating that you should finish the conversation and leave her alone:

  • crossed arms
  • looking down and avoiding eye contact
  •  a furrowed brow or a perplexed expression
  •  frowning
  • turning away from you

Instead of talking about yourself, ask questions. Many people, particularly men, talk too much about themselves in conversation. If you have a habit of doing this when you are scared, consider a different approach. Instead, keep her talking about herself by asking more questions. This relieves stress and allows you to discover more about her.

6)      Make Your Inquiries Complex and Probing, But Keep Them Light

"How's soccer going this year?" asks a specific question that will take some time to respond.

Even if it's only to be funny, don't dispute. In elementary school, kids pick on a girl they like. It is not a good technique to get to know someone personally. Avoid difficult issues and avoid a fight if you like someone and want to get to know them better. A typical pick-up artist strategy is to "subtly insult" girls to make them more susceptible. This is not a nice approach to meeting new people. You can and should eventually disagree with individuals you like. You don't have to always be agreeable if you know her well. However, don't make a point of picking on someone at first, because they may become defensive or insulted.

Tips

  • Make an attempt to make her laugh.
  •   Be true to yourself. Try not to appear smarter, cooler, or tougher than you are.
  •  You might make her feel more at ease by inviting her to lunch with some of her and your friends.
